Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen called for the positions of armed forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, said Monday the press service of the Ukrainian defense Ministry.

«In the area of the antiterrorist operation (a military operation in the Donbas — ed.) visited a foreign delegation led by the former Prime Minister of Denmark, a recent NATO Secretary General and now an Advisor to the President of Ukraine Anders Fogh Rasmussen,» — said the press service of the defense Ministry.

According to the defense Ministry, Rasmussen together with a group of European politicians visited a number of cities in the Donetsk region, where he familiarized with the task and the status of Ukrainian troops. In particular, the delegation visited one of the brigades of the armed forces of Ukraine, stationed near the confrontation line in the direction of Donetsk.

Representatives of staff and the Joint center for control and coordination (JCCC) of the ceasefire in the Donbass told the delegation about the situation in the conflict zone.
