A total of 1.5 million euros paid by the state today for the victims of the terrorist attacks in March 2016 in Brussels, reported the Ministry of Finance of Belgium.

As stated in the communiqué of the Ministry, it is about appreciation 150 petitions on the provision of emergency financial assistance received by a specially created state Commission. Its consideration is a total of 336 complaints from victims of the attacks. The first payments were made in July 2016.

Insurance payments to victims was estimated by the Belgian insurance Association Assuralia of 160 million euros.
