The trial in the Hague court under the claim of «Naftogaz» to the Russian assets in Crimea may be delayed, reported RIA Novosti Director of the group on natural resources and commodities, Fitch Ratings Dmitry marinchenko.

Earlier Wednesday, the NJSC «Naftogaz of Ukraine» and the six companies belonging to the group of Naftogaz OJSC «GAO «Chernomorneftegaz», OJSC «Ukrtransgaz», SE «of likvo», JSC «Ukrgazvydobuvannya», JSC «Ukrtransnafta» and DC «Gas of Ukraine» — said about submission to the Tribunal, formed under the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague, a claim for compensation for damages caused by unlawful seizure of the Russian Federation of the group’s assets in the Crimea. Group, Naftogaz, citing expert estimates losses from the loss of assets in Crimea in the amount of about $ 5 billion.

«The prospects of the claim and its enforcement is difficult to assess, in addition, it is possible that the litigation will be delayed. For example, in another case — a multibillion-dollar claim of Gazprom against Naftogaz and counterclaim, which are considered in the Stockholm arbitration is a final decision still not made», commented marinchenko.

He noted that «Naftogaz of Ukraine» addressed the increasing production at the asset that requires compensation.

«The assets in question were produced not so much — about 2 billion cubic meters per year — and these volumes are almost entirely consumed in the Crimea, however, «Naftogaz» discussed options of increasing production,» said marinchenko.
