In Buryatia have agreed on the construction of the ice arena

The ice Palace will be built in Buryatia in the framework of public-private partnerships; already defined a place for the sports arena, the press service of the head of the Republic Alexei Tzudenova.

According to the press service, this decision was announced on Wednesday at a meeting of the Ministry of sports of the Russian Federation on development of projects under public-private partnership in Buryatia.

«A meeting was held in the Ministry of sports under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Pavel Novikov for the development of projects of construction of sports facilities in the Republic under a public-private partnership, in particular, the construction of the ice Palace. Agreed that the private investor designs facility, the government of the Republic forms of concession scheme for the construction of the ice Palace,» said Tsydenov, quoted in a press-service.

He added that the place for the future Palace is already defined, it is expected that the ice arena will be built on the territory of the sports complex. The application form for participation in the project sent the company «arena», noted the press service. The project cost is not yet known.

The meeting also touched upon issues of development of sports rehabilitation base in the village of Maksimikha and other projects.

The construction of the ice Palace in Buryatia were discussed in April at a plenary session of the annual media forum of the popular front under the chairmanship of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. One of the participants of the forum, the reporter from Buryatia, lamented that the region, perhaps the only, where still no ice Palace, the question is solved with the construction of more than 7 years. In response, Putin has promised, together with the regional authorities to build skating rink for hockey players in the region.
