The capital of Dagestan, will celebrate its 160-year anniversary with two day festival – 23 and 24 September: citizens are waited by the unique air show, performances of tightrope walkers, the annual festival «Samauri» and crafts fair, told RIA Novosti the representative of city administration.

«Makhachkala on 23 and 24 September, will celebrate its 160th anniversary. This year the city authorities decided to depart from habitual stereotypes and to give residents and guests an unforgettable holiday. These days will involve about 15 sites that will host dozens of events», — told the Agency interlocutor.

According to the Deputy head of the city Sapira Alhazova, in preparation for the festivities and landscaped parks and gardens, certain work carried out by the traffic services and utilities.

«This day will be open national courtyards, where visitors to the city and citizens will be able to see the national traditional culture of peoples of Dagestan. As part of the anniversary in Makhachkala will host the festival «Samauri». The Rhodope Boulevard, to the Avar Kumyk theatre, also will be celebrations: a show of rope walkers, children’s entertainers, concerts. Citizens and guests of the capital will present an air show,» — said Achalov.

According to hall, during festivities in the new Park Gear in the village of Makhachkala will host the opening of the monument to the heroes of Russia, the natives of the sister city Makhachkala – Yaroslavl who died in the line of duty in 1999.

«It is a tribute to our city, our Republic, to these guys, their families and the service they carried. It is symbolic that we are Yaroslavl sister cities. In Yaroslavl there is a monument to our countryman, hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan, which we are very proud,» added Alkhasov.
