US President, Donald trump seems to want to cancel a nuclear deal with Iran, announced on Wednesday the TV channel NBC, citing its own sources.

Informed by the results of the Ministerial meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini stated that the Joint comprehensive plan of action, developed in 2015, including the works, the deal is saved and the resumption of negotiations on the agreement is not required. In turn, the U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson said that the US fully observe the agreement on the Iranian nuclear programme and the same is expected from Iran. The Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia will contribute to the sustainability of the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.

According to the channel, trump will make a decision before 15 October and will open for us lawmakers «window» of 60 days, during which they will have to decide whether to impose renewed sanctions against Iran, taken in the framework of a nuclear deal with Tehran.

By trump on Wednesday told reporters that he had made the decision, but did not say what. U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson noted that the head of state didn’t share this decision with anyone outside of his team.

According to sources at NBC, trump aims to maintain the current status quo, but consider another option. According to them, it gives the opportunity for the European allies of the United States 90 days to the resumption of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. It is emphasized that administration officials are now discussing this with the Europeans and with members of Congress.

As noted, the White house did not respond to a request for comment.

Iran and «six» of international mediators on 14 July 2015, reached an historic agreement on the settlement of the longstanding problem of the Iranian atom. Adopted a joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD), which removes Iran’s previously imposed economic and financial sanctions by the UN security Council, US and EU. The plan came into effect on 16 January 2016.
