The UAE has allocated 37 million dirhams ($10 million) to the eradication caused by the hurricane «Irma» damage in Florida, according to a UAE newspaper The National.

Funds will be used for construction work in the most affected parts of the state.

«UAE solidarity with the population of Florida, which has suffered from hurricane «Irma,» said the UAE Ambassador to the US Yousef al-Otaiba.

Hurricane «Irma» called the most powerful in the Atlantic, at least over the last decade. Experts believe that he is stronger than a hurricane «Harvey», who in late August made landfall in Texas and caused catastrophic flooding. Victims of «Irma» were more than 20 people. Last week the national center for prevention of storms USA reported that «Irma» weakened to a tropical depression.
