Russia and the federated States of Micronesia signed an agreement on the abolition of visas

The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of foreign Affairs of the Federated States of Micronesia Lorin Robert signed the agreement on mutual abolition of visas, said the foreign Ministry.

Lavrov’s meeting with high representatives of the small island States of the South Pacific took place on Thursday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The parties reaffirmed the spirit of cooperation between Russia and countries of the South Pacific subregion in a wide range of issues.

«During separate meetings with Lavrov, Minister for foreign Affairs of the Federated States of Micronesia Robert signed a bilateral intergovernmental agreement on mutual abolition of visa requirements,» — said in the statement.

Federated States of Micronesia is a country in Oceania, located in the Caroline Islands, just North of the coast of New Guinea.
