China in the implementation of UN security Council resolution 2375 of December 11, will stop the import of textiles from North Korea, reported on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of China.

Of Commerce of China announced that in the framework of the implementation of UN security Council resolution 2375 and in accordance with the trade law of the PRC adopted a number of measures relating to certain products of import-export trade with the DPRK.

«From midnight on the day of publication of this statement comes into force a ban on imports from Korea textiles,» — said in a statement.

It is noted that a complete ban will come into force only on December 11. All obligations and customs procedures in trade contracts concluded prior to the adoption of a resolution (September 11), must be made before 24.00 on 10 December.

After that, any import procedures for the respective products are not, this also applies to those goods which will be located at the border, but will not have time to go through the necessary customs formalities.

North Korea, on 3 September announced the successful test of a hydrogen warhead, which is designed to equip Intercontinental ballistic missiles. It was the sixth nuclear test by Pyongyang. The week before the DPRK tested a ballistic missile that flew over Japan.

In connection with these events, the UN Security Council unanimously imposed new sanctions against the DPRK, which will significantly limit the export and import capabilities of Pyongyang. Resolution 2375 set the most stringent UN sanctions regime in the twenty-first century.
