The project of transferring water to the North of the Crimea Peninsula, to large industrial objects, developed by the authorities of the Peninsula, wrote on his page in Facebook the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.

According to him, the project was discussed at a meeting on the water supply of the Crimea under the leadership of the head of Ministry of natural resources Sergey Donskoy.

«Together with Sergei Efremovich (don — ed.) we have already discussed the main tasks for solving problems of water shortage, with proposals that allow, in particular, to transfer water to the Northern Crimea to ensure the factories «Crimean Titan» and «Crimean soda plant». This project is still under development, but I think we will be able to get out of this situation», — wrote Aksenov.

According to him, the most water-scarce regions are still Eastern Crimea: Kerch, Feodosiya-Sudak region, there are problems in the city of Yalta and the South Crimea.

«However, the result of previous measures, all localities of the Republic today is provided with water fully. Water scarcity is desperately impact on the needs of the population and in the resort area,» wrote Feldman.

Company towns of Krasnoperekopsk and Armiansk, located near the border with Ukraine are experiencing shortages of water after Ukraine in 2014, stopped deliveries to the Crimea water via the North-Crimean channel. Water is needed in large volume for the two major city-forming plants — «Crimean Titan» and «Crimean soda plant».

According to the Crimean authorities, for supply of industrial enterprises were drilled eight wells, is drilling a few more. «Crimea Titan» has received permission to takeoff to 48 thousand cubic meters per day, «Krestovy plant» — up to 9 thousand cubic meters per day. Verification of water quality showed an increase of salinity, which negatively affects the technological equipment. Earlier it was considered the project of creating a desalination plant to supply the plants with water, the project cost was estimated at 40 billion rubles.
