The polls closed in Germany on the day of elections to the Bundestag, the counting of votes.

The turnout to 14.00 (15.00 GMT) was 41.1%, slightly lower than in the elections in 2013, and then the turnout to 14.00 was 41.4 per cent. The total turnout in the last election was 71.5%.
