New multi-functional centre for Muslims «the GIFT» opened Monday in the Russian capital, his work will focus, first and foremost, young people, reported RIA Novosti, the Moscow mufti Ildar Alyautdinov.

According to religious leader, the cultural center is education, education and education.

«We are confident that such centres are key to understanding and harmony within society, is necessary to ensure rights and respect for each other,» said Alyautdinov.

The new building has the Moscow Islamic College, madrasah for children and adults, a children’s club, «Academy of talents», an Islamic library, sports club «Development» and women’s club «Aliya». According to the mufti, a feature of the centre are regular meetings and seminars with the participation of famous Muslim scholars and Orientalists of Russia.

«Of course, all this will be free, and the doors of our center are open to all, without exception,» — said Alyautdinov.

The mufti stressed that the center, which operates under the auspices of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (DUM RF), pays great attention to youth.

«We should strive to devote part of its energy for the decent upbringing of the younger generation. A nation that ignores its youth, does not care about her spiritual welfare, leaving in the lurch, at risk of losing its uniqueness and is subject to, thereby, cultural degradation», — said Ildar Alyautdinov.

In the opening of the cultural center brought together political, spiritual and public figures, representatives of art and culture, poets and writers.
