The leader of media rating bankers in the media index for July 2017 was the President of Sberbank German Gref, followed by CEO of «VTB 24» Michael Zadornov and the Chairman of VNESHECONOMBANK Sergey Gorkov, according to a press release of the company «Medialogia».

Media attention in particular was drawn to the statements by Gref at the International financial Congress that the number of customers who use Internet banking, so widely that the traditional ways of conducting banking activities are fading.

Second place was taken by the President — Chairman of Board of Bank VTB 24’s Zadornov. «Medialogia», in particular, connects Zadornov’s position in the ranking with his message that the Bank of Russia and ASV after protests of the Prosecutor General’s office wanted to suspend payments to depositors of the Bank «Ugra», but after consultations with banks have changed the decision. «VTB 24» is one of the agent banks for payment of compensations to depositors of «Ugra». The only new name, and the only woman in the top 10 in media ranking bankers became Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgieva. The ranking is based on a database of the media system «Medialogia», including more than 42 thousands of sources: TV, radio, Newspapers, magazines, news agencies and online media. The study was conducted according to quality index the media index, which reflects the quantitative and qualitative presence of a person in the information field. Media index depends on the power of the media, the visibility of the message, brightness of the reference object, citation, conflict, character references and other parameters.
