The success of the party «Alternative for Germany» testifies to the growing dissent among German voters, focused on the priority of national interests of the country, said a member of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Sergei Zheleznyak.

«The success of the party «Alternative for Germany» (AfD), which according to the exit poll, first held in the Bundestag against the background of reduced confidence in the traditional political elite of the CDU/CSU and the SPD, is evidence of the growing dissent among German voters, focused on the priority of national interests of the country and dissatisfied with the policy of the current government», — quotes ironstone press service.

The Deputy noted that the result of the AfD can seriously complicate the election and the new government, as well as discussions during the adoption of key legislation. «For Merkel, the elections were clear proof of a growing split in public and political life of Germany and the need for changes in the country’s politics, both internal and external,» — he stressed.

According to the MP, in Germany as in other European countries, growing dissatisfaction with the sanctions policy against Russia.

«The national governments of Europe, which are influenced by the public and business, clearly feeling the damage from the destroyed relations with our country and more and more inclined to the attainment of independence in building relations with Russia, which offers dialogue and cooperation», — concluded the MP.

Parliamentary elections were held in Germany on September 24. Final figures from Central election Commission of the German party Alliance CDU/CSU led by Chancellor Angela Merkel is leading with 33% (246 seats in the Bundestag), but this is its worst result since 1949. The social democratic party of Germany (SPD) led by Martin Schulz gets to 20.5% (153 places), having achieved the worst result in history. Right «Alternative for Germany» was first held in the German Parliament with 12.6% and immediately become the third force in Bundestag (94). The liberal Free democratic party (FDP) receives 10.7 percent (80 seats), the «Left» — 9,2% (69 seats) and «Green» — 8,9% (67 seats).
