The social democratic party of Germany (SPD) claims to be a strong opposition in the Bundestag, said the leader of the party Martin Schulz, speaking in Berlin.

He stressed that the SPD defeat in the elections to the Parliament receives and analyzes. The party, according to him, goes to the opposition not to criticize the government, and «to create conditions for the country a better and fairer place».

«We expect to place a strong opposition, which in this role is shaping the future of the country. We accept this task. Today the party will discuss how we in this new role will work to shape the future of the country,» said Schultz.

Sunday in Germany have passed elections in the Bundestag. The social democratic party of Germany (SPD) led by Martin Schulz gets to 20.5% (153 places), having achieved the worst result in history. Right «Alternative for Germany» was first held in the German Parliament with 12.6% and immediately become the third force in Bundestag (94). The liberal Free democratic party (FDP) receives 10.7 percent (80 seats), the «Left» — 9,2% (69 seats) and «Green» — 8,9% (67 seats).
