Russia urges UN to achieve from the Kiev commitments in the field of human rights, as well as the Minsk agreements, said the adviser of the permanent mission of the Russian Federation at the Geneva office of the UN Natalia Zolotova.

«Outrage is the use of torture to extract confessions, including simulated executions and the use of tazers. Such crimes, according to observers, are not investigated, leading to further spread in the country a climate of impunity,» said she, speaking at a session of the UNHRC on Tuesday.

«We urge the UN to continue to seek from Kiev to strict compliance with human rights obligations, and fair implementation of the Minsk agreements,» said Zolotov.

The report of the monitoring mission of the office of the UN high Commissioner for human rights on the situation of human rights in Ukraine, said that human rights in Crimea massively violated after its accession to Russia, including the authorities of Ukraine and Russia. The report focused on the situation of human rights in the Russian Crimea, which in the mission is called Ukrainian territory, «occupied by Russia». In it, the mission also noted that the shutdown by the Ukrainian authorities of electricity and the termination of the water «affected the rights of residents of Crimea to adequate living conditions». The document covers the period from 22 February 2014 to 12 September 2017. While the mission indicated that they did not have access to the territory of Crimea and his assessment of the situation with human rights on the Peninsula was carried out remotely, from Ukraine.
