The interior Ministry has proposed to allow the traffic police to punish drivers who violate traffic rules, based on the video from nationals, according to the government website.

The bill has been approved by the Commission on legislative activities of the government.

It is noted that now the traffic police inspectors have to spend a lot of time and resources to prove the fact of violation. The police have to conduct the whole procedure: call reported the violation, to test database identity of the offender, to call for a poll to identify the witnesses and so on.

«At the same time employees are limited to a two-month period of bringing to responsibility», — said the authors of the document.

New bill aims to solve this problem. It proposes to amend, koapp, which will allow police to make regulations on administrative penalties for traffic violations without a Protocol, if they are recorded on video.

Are you ready to report traffic violations by sending the video through the portal?

  • Yes, if offenders do will be punished
  • No, I think this is whistleblowing
  • Depends on how it will be convenient in technical terms

All prosegregation proposes to amend the Code of administrative offences, which will allow traffic police to make regulations on administrative penalties for traffic violations without drawing up a Protocol on administrative offense, if they are recorded on video citizens registered on the portal.

Earlier former head of traffic police Victor Nilov said that the Agency is developing a system which will allow drivers to report violators on the roads, taking them on video through a special application on the mobile phone. The app can be downloaded only from the portal, so you can identify who reported the violation.
