Cuba confirmed its will to continue the bilateral dialogue with the United States on the basis of respect and equality, despite the serious contradictions between the countries, said in a Tuesday statement, the Cuban foreign Ministry.

Communiqué issued following the meeting, foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson in Washington, DC. The main theme of the meeting was the issue of unexplained incidents with American diplomats in Havana. According to the latest data of the state Department, not less than 21 diplomat received hearing, memory, attention and other symptoms as a result of unidentified remote effects.

«The government of Cuba has not taken and will never take attacks of any nature against diplomats. Also, it has never allowed and will not allow its territory to be used by third countries for this purpose,» — said in a statement.

A preliminary investigation obtained by the Cuban authorities say that to date there is no evidence on the cause and nature of damage to health diplomats, which said the American side, the press service of the foreign Ministry of Cuba.

«The Minister assured him (Tillerson) that the investigation is continuing and that Cuba is very interested in its completion, which absolutely requires effective cooperation with the American authorities», — said in a communique.

Earlier, the state Department did not rule out that if the incidents will not stop, the United States can raise the question of the closure of the Embassy in Cuba to open in 2015 on the initiative of the Obama administration.
