«Gazprom» and Minister of energy of Bulgaria discussed the implementation of the «Turkish stream»

The Chairman of the Board «Gazprom» Alexey Miller and energy Minister of Bulgaria Temenujka Petkova discussed the supply of Russian gas and its transit through the territory of the Republic in the context of the project «Turkish stream», reports a press-service «Gazprom».

«During the meeting they discussed current and prospective issues of bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to Russian gas supplies to Bulgaria and its transit through the territory of the Republic in the context of the project «Turkish stream»,» — said in the message.

It is noted that the meeting was held on the sidelines of the meeting of the working group on energy of the Russian-Bulgarian intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation.

Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak said earlier that Russia is discussing the possibility of gas supplies via the «Turkish stream» with Bulgaria, Italy and Greece.

«Gazprom» may 7, has started construction of the offshore section of the gas pipeline «Turkish stream». The project involves the construction of two trains with capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters each. The first line is designed to supply gas to Turkish consumers, due to open in March 2018; the second for the gas supply countries in South and South-Eastern Europe (term of commissioning — 2019).
