The Minister of education of the Russian Federation will meet with Russian and foreign historians.

September 28 will be the meeting of the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva with the leadership of the International Committee of historical Sciences (MKIN).

The event will take place in the framework held in Moscow for the first time the General Assembly, MKIN, which will be attended by about 80 foreign historians, heads of national committees of different countries and members of international historical commissions.

During the meeting with the Minister heads the International Committee of historical Sciences will discuss the prospects of cooperation between Russian and foreign historians, as well as joint research projects.

It is planned that the event will be attended by: Andrea Giardina (Italy) — President MCKIN, Catherine Orelle (France) — Secretary General of MKIN, Pascal Cauchy (France) — Secretary of MKIN, Alexander Chubaryan — scientific Director of the Institute of General history RAS, the Chairman of the National Committee of Russian historians.

The international Committee of historical Sciences is the largest international organization in history, the existing more than 90 years. It includes about 50 national committees of historians and 40 international commissions.

The main task of MCIN is for five years, the International Congress of historical Sciences, and various international conferences and meetings. In the intervals between the world congresses every two years, convened the General Assembly — the governing body of MCKIN.
