Republican Congressman Steve Scales returned to work in the house of representatives after wounds received in an assassination attempt in June.

Scales was injured in a shooting incident on June 14 in Alexandria (Virginia). Then the man opened fire with rifles on a group of congressmen and their assistants during their training before a traditional baseball. Injured four people, including two policemen and Scales. The assailant was wounded in a shootout with police and later died in hospital.

The policy was carried out several complex operations, he was in the hospital for about six weeks, a significant amount of time in intensive care in critical condition.

Scales is the third in the hierarchy of the Republicans in the house of representatives, occupying the post of coordinator of the faction of the majority.
