The Supreme court upheld the sentence to Junior Sergeant Murad Shahbazov, sentenced to 3 years in prison for the phrase in support of «Islamic state»* (IG*, a banned terrorist organization), told RIA Novosti in court.

For this phrase and posted on his page in the social network movie, where several people cut off the head of the prisoner, the court found him guilty under part 1 of article 205.2 (Public calls for terrorist activity or public justification of terrorism).

According to investigators, the phrase Shahbazov said in the presence of three colleagues. The sentence was passed by the North Caucasus district military court, the defender challenged the verdict in the Supreme court of the Russian Federation, but the Board of appeals left it unchanged.

*Banned in Russia as a terrorist organization
