The project experts of the Russian popular front (onf) «General cleaning» began receiving complaints from residents of the city district Balashikha to environmental degradation, with the increase in harmful emissions into the atmosphere, reported the press service of the onf.

«We have repeatedly reported about the unpleasant smell in the territory of the city district Balashikha, and we are keeping the situation under special control. In particular, we have sent the corresponding appeals to the Supervisory authorities. Unfortunately, the source of the odor is still not installed. Although, by its nature, it is likely accidental emissions, which produces yet unknown to us the enterprise», — quotes the press service of the traffic project coordinator onf Dmitri Mironov.

In this regard, said the organization, onf started receiving complaints from residents of Balashikha. «We ask citizens to call us by phone 8 (495) 981-56-99 and write in the mail [email protected] all the available information about the real offender, who is guilty in harmful emissions poison the whole urban region» — concluded Mironov.

Earlier concerns over complaints from residents of several districts of Moscow and nearby towns on the deterioration of the environment due to the possible burning of garbage have already stated, the presidential Council on human rights (HRC).

The problem of waste disposal was raised by the residents of Balashikha near Moscow, having complained on 15 June during a straight line President Vladimir Putin to landfill «Kuchino» located near their homes. The President demanded to liquidate the dump, and the Moscow authorities have decided on the immediate closure of the landfill on June 23. In early September, the Ministry of ecology of Moscow region began checking the cleanliness of the air in three urban districts of the region, nearby businesses, which can lead to contamination — Balashikha, Lyubertsy and Reutov. According to the suburban authorities closest to them station contamination control «Kozhukhovo» periodically detects excessive concentrations of hydrogen sulfide. Experts believe that this occurs when the weather weakened the dispersion of pollutants in the air.
