The President of Russia Vladimir Putin met with Alexander USS, who was appointed acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region, reports the website of the Kremlin.

Earlier media reported about the upcoming resignations of a number of regional leaders, including the head of the Krasnoyarsk territory. The President of the Russian Federation on Tuesday signed a decree dismissing Valeriy Shantsev as Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region, appointed acting head of the region first Deputy head of the Ministry of industry and trade Gleb Nikitin. On Monday, the President signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of Samara region Nikolai Merkushkin was appointed acting head of the region Dmitry Azarov.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak suggested on Tuesday in conversation with journalists that several of the heads of regions may resign soon.
