Air pollution caused the premature death of more than 500 thousand Europeans a year, despite improving air quality, reported on the website Phys.org with reference to the European environment Agency (EEA).

Reportedly, poor environment remains a major cause of premature death in Europe, despite the fact that the level of air pollution is gradually reduced. EEA States that fine particles, which easily penetrate the lungs and even the blood vessels that cause the death of about 428 thousand people annually. Also, according to the Agency, about 82% of Europe’s urban population exposed to ultrafine particles.

Among other air pollutants that cause pre-death Europeans, the EEA called nitrogen dioxide, and ground ozone.
