Chief editor of the magazine L’officiel Russia Ksenia Sobchak, announced its intention to participate in presidential elections, will leave his post on unpaid leave after the official registration as the candidate on a post of the President of the Russian Federation.

Sobchak said Wednesday of his intention to participate in presidential elections in 2018, positioning himself as the candidate «against all». To participate in the presidential elections of citizens who have reached 35 years of age. In November presenter will be 36 years old.

«We took a joint decision that until the day of official registration as a candidate in presidents of Russia Ksenia Sobchak will continue to do the magazine l’officiel, and after you register will go into unpaid leave. In March, after the elections, the final decision: Ksenia Sobchak will either continue to lead the magazine l’officiel, will either lead our country,» — said in a joint statement, President of the ACMG Alexander Fedotov and Sobchak, the press service of the media group.

Earlier, representatives of the edition has informed RIA Novosti that Sobchak would not leave his post during the election campaign.

Regular elections of the President of Russia will be held in March 2018, the campaign is supposed to start in December 2017.

L’officiel is a French magazine for women. In Russia it has been published since 1998, with the end of 2014, editor-in-chief became Sobchak.
