Kotlas Deputy Interdistrict Prosecutor approved the indictment on criminal case concerning 31-the summer inhabitant of Kotlas, Arkhangelsk region, who is accused of the brutal murder of cats, according to the Prosecutor’s office of the region.

«It is established that one evening in September this year accused, being in an alcohol intoxication, in one of the outbuildings… built a loop of electrical wire, put on the cat’s neck that he got from his friend, hung animal, and struck it some blows with a knife. From the received wounds the cat was killed», — stated in the message.

A criminal case under article «cruelty to animals».

As observed by the Supervisory authority, the defendant «was acting out of hooliganism and disregarded the rules of morality, rules of conduct, as well as aware of the illegality of their actions.» Against him preventive measure in the form of recognizance not to leave.

Criminal case is directed to court for consideration on the merits.

Earlier, a similar case was filed in the Komi Republic, where 37-the summer local, being in an alcohol intoxication, put the cat his girlfriend in the washing machine and «washed» it. The death of the animal ukhtinets filmed on a mobile phone, subsequently put the entry in a social network.
