A consequence opened a criminal case upon beating of the inspector of the FPS of prisoners of a colony №2 in Orel oblast, where prisoners went on hunger strike, informs on Monday regional Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that on October 19 nine convicts of the penal colony №2 UFSIN Russia across the Oryol region has filed a statement of refusal of food and demanded the weakening of the detention regime. On this fact the TFR began procedural check, during which investigators will give a legal assessment of the situation in the colony.

«According to investigators, 19 October 2017, three convicts of fku IK-2 UFSIN of Russia across the Oryol region, not wanting to obey the lawful demands of an inspector of a corrective colony, struck him several blows in the chest area, damaging the uniforms and causing physical pain», — stated in the message.

A consequence opened a criminal case under article «Disorganization of activity of institutions providing isolation from a society». The sanction of this article provides till five years of imprisonment. Set all the circumstances of the incident, noted in SK.

Prior to that, the regional Department of the Federal penitentiary service confirmed the hunger strike of nine prisoners, protesting against illegal, in their opinion, actions of employees of the colony during the search. According to the Ministry, 26 October, two refused food of prisoners began to accept it, and on October 27, the food took all convicted.
