The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, expressed his condolences to the families affected by the earthquake in Iran and Iraq.

«The sad news came today from Iran and Iraq. Canadians Express their sincere condolences to the families who have been affected by the earthquake in the region,» wrote Trudeau in his Twitter.

The European Mediterranean seismological centre (EMSC) reported that an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 occurred on Sunday on the border of Iran and Iraq. Tremors were recorded in 204 kilometres North-East of Baghdad and 104 kilometres West of the Iranian city of Kermanshah. The earthquake lies at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The victims of the earthquake in Iran began more than 140 people, about a thousand were injured. According to currently available data, in neighboring Iraq killed six people, but the number of victims of disaster in the country may increase.
