Press statement following talks between the leaders of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi began with a hitch because of the lack of simultaneous translation, the Russian President quickly found a solution by asking the interpreter to come to the microphone.

The head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin began a statement with the reports that during the talks discussed issues of bilateral cooperation as well as Syrian issues. He added that the level of Russian-Turkish cooperation is almost restored, the trade volume between the countries increased by 36%.

Then the President suggested that simultaneous translation is not. «There is no translation? What we do with translation?», — asked Putin.

«There is no translation? Then, maybe, will directly translate, so it will be easier,» he said, inviting the interpreter to the microphone.
