The authorities of Vologda region with the new year intend to increase the monthly payments to foster families for orphans, reported RIA Novosti head of the Department of social protection Larisa kamanina.

«Now payouts for preschoolers are 5.98 thousand rubles, for students — 8,234 thousand rubles. In recent times their size increased in July 2016. With the new year, the Governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov proposed to increase the monthly payments to 10,105 rubles for all orphans, regardless of their age,» said kamanina.

According to her, the initiative was endorsed by the deputies of the legislative Assembly.

«This measure will have a positive impact on the placement of children in foster care. In the last years it has shown its effectiveness. So, for the first nine months of the current year the number of orphans consisting on the account in the regional data Bank, decreased by 14% (666 people), and the number of foster families grew by 6.2%. According to forecasts, the increasing payouts will help you find new parents for another 150 to 160 orphans and to increase by 2020 the share of children living in families up to 90%», — said the head of the Department.

In the budget of region for 2018 and two of the planning period provided an additional 136,4 million rubles to increase the monthly payment for orphans in foster families. Finally to consider the bill is scheduled for the 15th session of the legislative Assembly of the region, which will take place on November 29. If deputies make amendments to the law will come into force on 1 January 2018.
