The Deputy Secretary General Council of party «United Russia», member of international Affairs Committee of the state Duma Sergei Zheleznyak called the mockery of veterans the decision of the Parliament of Ukraine to withdraw from the law on the status of veterans of the mention of the great Patriotic war.

The Parliament of Ukraine was removed from the law «On status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection» mention of the great Patriotic war, replacing it with the term «Second world war». The decision at a meeting on Tuesday supported 241 MP with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.

«This step is the so-called «de-communization» of Kiev is not only directed against the folk memory of heroic ancestors, who saved the world from the brown plague. This is a mockery of the Kiev junta over the surviving veterans, which they intend to destroy and to deprive the guarantees of social protection. According to the MP, this is another demonstration of the essence of the Kiev regime that «ranting from high tribunes on human rights, to continue the war against the people of Donbass».
