. The authorities of the Kamchatka edge allocated from the beginning of 2017, more than 1.1 billion rubles for the development of agriculture in the region, which is about 9.2% more than last year, said Deputy Minister of agriculture, food and processing industry of the region Vyacheslav Chernysh.

He said this during the meeting of the government of Kamchatskiy Krai under supervision of the first Vice-Governor Irina Untilova.

«From the beginning of 2017 for the implementation of the state program of the region for the development of agriculture and regulation of markets of agricultural products, raw materials and food of the government of Kamchatka sent 1,121 billion, which is 9.2% more than in the same period last year. In the end, the volume of gross output in industry grew by 7.7% and totaled 8,189 billion rubles», — cited in the Krai government the words of Blackie.

According to the regional government, milk production has increased over the year by 1.5 thousand tons, meat — by 1.3 thousand tons. Despite the forest fires and the loss of a significant part of the reindeer pastures, the deer population could be maintained at the level of 2016 — 48,9 thousand heads.

«The increase in livestock production entails an increase in the production of concentrated feed for animals. Fodder production for the first 9 months of 2017 increased from 13.3 thousand tonnes to 18.6 thousand tons, which is 40% more than in the same period last year», — added in the government message.
