Pensions in Russia under any circumstances will not decrease, on the contrary — they will continue to grow, said the press service of the Ministry of labor. So the office has responded to the words of ex-Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin that because of the deficit of the Pension Fund in the country had no money for pensions.

«The shortfall in the Pension Fund of Russia no. All obligations to the citizens will run and run,» — said in a press release.

Pensions will continue to grow as a result of annual indexation (for pensioners), and August adjustments (for working pensioners), added the Agency, Recalling that this year the insurance pensions are indexed at 5.8 percent — above the inflation rate 2016 (5,4%). In 2018, the budget of the FIU provides for the indexation rate of 3.7% and it is significantly faster than the rate of inflation, which is forecast at 2.5% to 2.8%.

The Ministry also drew attention to the fact that the amount of funds that the Federal budget allocates pension Fund for the payment of insurance pensions, for several years, not increased. Moreover, for six years, from 2012 to 2017, this transfer was reduced by more than four billion rubles. At the same time reduction is observed relative to GDP.

So, in 2016, the transfer amounted to 2.07 trillion rubles, in 2017 the Federal budget will allocate for these purposes 2,128 trillion (2.3% of GDP) in 2018 1,902 trillion (2% of GDP), and in 2019 — 1,888 trillion (1.8 percent of GDP).

Kudrin, in turn, said’s own words: he meant that the Pension Fund deficit without significant infusions from the budget. Because of this lack of funds for investment in the development of the country. The solution to this problem, the former Minister of Finance sees increasing the retirement age.

Alexei Kudrin talks about the necessity of this measure. In his opinion, women should retire at 63 and men at 65. Raise the age, he suggests gradually — by six months every year, but to start it is necessary to have in 2019.
