Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, the permanent representative of the Republic under the Russian President Georgi Muradov offered to send living in Ukraine Crimean Tatars textbooks in their native language and to allow national delegations from the Crimea to get acquainted with the life of the Crimean Tatars in Ukraine, in order to draw conclusions about observance of their rights in the neighbouring country.

On Friday in MIA «Russia today» held a videoconference dedicated to the discussion made at the UN General Assembly of the Ukrainian draft resolution on the situation of human rights in Crimea.

Muradov suggested in accordance with the Russian law on the protection of the rights of compatriots living abroad, which was adopted in 1999 to guide living in Ukraine Crimean Tatars textbooks in their native language. «Such books are produced in the Crimea, in Russia. If Kiev authorities so concerned about the Crimean Tatar people, give the opportunity to give them educational literature as part of the Russian ethnos», — Muradov said.

He added that living in the Crimea Crimean Tatars as the basis of ethnic group have a right to send a delegation to get acquainted with the life of Crimean Tatars living on the territory of Ukraine, and to draw their own conclusions about observance of their rights.

«That is how the places of compact residence of respected linguistic rights of the Crimean Tatars, studied the Crimean Tatar language in schools, the media, as is supported by the culture and traditions of the Crimean Tatar people. If the UN and the Ukrainian government really cares about the Crimean Tatars, give our public organizations to carry out this work. I am sure that he will not, but let’s go,» said Muradov.

The Ukrainian draft resolution on the situation of human rights in the Crimea submitted to the UN General Assembly. The document, which makes the Russian side a number of recommendations were adopted on 14 November by the Third Committee of the UNGA-social, humanitarian and cultural issues. It is expected that the draft resolution will consider in plenary meeting the current of the 72nd session of the General Assembly.

Document «Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol» was prepared by the Ukraine, his co-workers made about 40 countries, including the UK, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, USA, Finland, France and Estonia. He «condemns the violations and abuses of human rights and discriminatory measures against the inhabitants of the temporarily occupied Crimea». The draft resolution received the support of 71 States, 25 countries voted against and 77 abstained.
