President Vladimir Putin responded with a joke when invited to attend the jubilee celebrations of the all-Russian state Institute of cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov.

On the anniversary, to be celebrated in two years, Putin was invited by the rector Vladimir Malyshev. «We would ask you to find time in your busy schedule, and in September of 2019 to visit the University and to congratulate the century», — he said at a meeting on training of talented youth in the sphere of culture.

«Mr Smith, thank you very much. We have elections in March, and you to me in 2019 talking about serious graphics,» under the laughter of the audience was noted.

Regular elections of the President of Russia will be held in March 2018, the campaign should start in the current December. The presidential administration does not yet answer whether the incumbent President to run for a new term. Putin himself also did not answer this question, promising that «the time will come, let’s talk on this theme».
