Meteor shower the Leonids will reach this year of maximum activity on the night of Saturday, November 18, the Moon will not interfere with observations, the message of the Moscow planetarium.

The Leonids meteor shower is best seen in the morning (after midnight and before sunrise) on the Eastern horizon on a clear cloudless weather. The moon in 2017, it will not hurt to view autumn stargazing, as it is located near the Sun and 18 November, is a phase of the new moon.

Comet Tempel-Tutle visited near the Sun for the last time in 1998 and will come back next time only in 2031. The best you can hope for 2030 — it peaks about 15 Leonid meteors per hour and perhaps sometimes weak bursts when the Earth passes near a dense plume of meteoric dust, left from the previous passage of the comet.
