About 200 students and staff of far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on Friday are unable to leave the Russian island because of the snow, they were placed in hotels, told RIA Novosti the representative of the University.

«On the eve of about 200 students and staff, teachers are stuck on the island, they were placed in hotels of the campus. On Saturday morning they began to disperse to their homes, the traffic on the island of Russian is normal. During the night, utilities have cleaned driveways, brought everything in order,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

He said that in hotels all posted for free.

In addition, according to the city of Vladivostok, 18 children and eight adults, who arrived on Friday by bus from Nakhodka with a trip to the Maritime aquarium and caught the city by storm, placed in a fire brigade №20 along the street Fadeeva, fed them.

«The situation is complicated by traffic on the regional highway Artem – Nakhodka, which also suffered from the effects of a snow storm. Currently in Vladivostok continue to eliminate the consequences of snowfall,» — said the mayor.

According EMERCOM for the Primorsky Krai, the children will go home on November 18 after normalizing the situation on the roads.

On the eve of the second half of the day Vladivostok was covered with snow. In the city there were more than 250 accidents. Blocked a number of roads, heavy vehicles banned from entering the city.
