The Ukrainian Ministry of foreign Affairs was summoned to the office of the Ambassador of Poland after the Polish guards were not allowed into the country Secretary of the State interdepartmental Commission of Ukraine Svyatoslav Sheremet, said the representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs in Donetsk region.

«Urgently called the Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine in connection with the admission of the Secretary of the State interdepartmental Commission of Svyatoslav Sheremet in Poland,» wrote Betz in his microblog on Twitter.

Earlier, the Polish foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that the Polish authorities intend to prohibit the entry of persons adhering to anti-Polish position. According to media reports, the prohibition referred to the Director of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Vladimir Vyatrovich. Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cichocki Bartosz stated that the ban on entry to Poland for people with anti-Polish stance already in place.

Disagreements between Ukraine and Poland relate, primarily, questions of historical memory. In Warsaw, condemned the position of Kiev on the glorification of the organization of Ukrainian nationalists — Ukrainian insurgent army (OUN-UPA prohibited in Russia), and also criticized the regular acts of vandalism against the Polish places of memory in Ukraine. The Sejm of Poland recognized the Armenian genocide the mass killings of poles, which, in the opinion of Warsaw, committed Ukrainian nationalists in Volhynia, Eastern Galicia and South-Eastern provinces of the II Polish Republic in the years 1939-1945.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a statement condemning the decision of the Polish Sejm to recognize the «Volyn massacre» genocide. Ukrainian MPs believe that the decision «jeopardized the political and diplomatic developments of the two countries».
