All schools in Russia should be promptly connected to the Internet, schools without access to the worldwide network today can not exist, said Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.

At the meeting on the application of e-learning in implementation of education programmes, and the Deputy Minister of education Tatiana sinugina reported that almost five hundred schools do not have access to the Internet.

«Today we have about 13 thousand 275 educational institutions in Russia do not have access to broadband Internet… in addition, the 486 schools we do not have access and is not connected to the Internet,» said sinugina.

The question said about how much time it will take for the Internet connection of all schools, the Deputy Minister replied that about three years.

«Colleagues, discuss with the Ministry of communications, because we have such already should not be, and a school where there is no Internet, today, can not exist,» — said Deputy Prime Minister.
