«I was recently at a major engineering exhibition in Yekaterinburg. And realized how seriously affected the anti-Russian sanctions by the West on the position of Czech companies in Russia. A large part of this exhibition was devoted to Russian-Chinese cooperation. Among the exhibits were, for example, trams and locomotives, which, I admit, is very reminiscent of our, Czech,» said Hanák.

According to him, activities he headed the Union of industry and transport of the Czech Republic has a Pro-European orientation, the person he respects the arguments which sanctions were imposed against the Russian Federation. «On the other hand, I fully agree with the President of the Republic Milos Zeman, who has repeatedly stated that the various sanctions and embargoes do not lead to the achievement of the goal and certainly not contribute to the development of trade,» Hanák stressed.

«This rise is largely contributed to the establishment of direct contacts between individual regions and enterprises of the Czech Republic and Russia. The current visit of President Zeman, two business forum with participation of businessmen of both countries in Moscow and Yekaterinburg should help to restore the old and establish new fruitful contacts», — said the head of the SPT.
