Unknown stole from the Museum in the South of France a painting by a famous Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico, the newspaper Midi Libre.

According to prosecutors, the painting was stolen November 16: the guards Museum of fine arts in Beziers (Herault Department) after the opening of the saw in its place an empty frame. Presumably, the attacker cut the canvas with a utility knife.

Oil paintings: «Composition with self-portrait» dates from 1926. The work was part of the collection of Jean Moulin, a native of Beziers and hero of the Resistance movement. The publication calls the picture «priceless».

A search of the stolen works of art is hindered by the lack of CCTV cameras in the Museum.
