Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday in Sochi will hold talks with his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman to discuss bilateral relations, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

«You know that Zeman and Putin have a long friendly relations, mutual respect, the desire and ability to actively conduct a very constructive and Frank discussion. Zeman Putin is very respected as a politician, which has its own independent perspective on different processes, which are now actively taking place in Europe and in the world… along with the conversation all the parameters of bilateral relations, and you know that in Russia and in the Czech Republic manifested a mutual interest in strengthening cooperation», — said Peskov.

Czech President visits Russia on an official visit from 20 to 24 November at the invitation of Putin. It is expected that after negotiations with the Russian leader in Sochi Zeman on Wednesday in Moscow to meet with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and also to take part in the Russian-Czech economic forum. In addition, Zeman will visit Yekaterinburg, which will host the Russian-Czech business forum.

Russia is an important partner of the Czech Republic, as a major energy supplier and one of the main destinations for Czech exports. In 2011-2013 the mutual foreign trade of Russia and the Czech Republic showed record high, when the trade turnover, according to the Czech statistics, reached $ 14 billion.
