Authorized under the RF President on the rights of the child Anna Kuznetsova expressed condolences to the families of deceased Opera singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky, calling him a «great friend of children.»

Earlier Wednesday, the family of the singer announced on his page in Facebook that he died. Hvorostovsky has died on 56-m to year of life after long illness. At the end of June 2015, the singer, for many years lived in London, announced that she was suffering from a brain tumor.

«He left a great artist and a great soul Man. Dmitry Alexandrovich has always been a great friend of children, organized charity concerts in aid of seriously ill children, supported young talents. Earlier, the people’s artist of the USSR, first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on culture Iosif Kobzon said that Hvorostovsky bequeathed to cremate his body and bury the ashes in Moscow and his native city of Krasnoyarsk.
