Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia on Thursday banned the three UN planes to land at the international airport of Sana’a, told RIA Novosti the representative of the Yemeni civil aviation authority Mazin Ganim.

On Wednesday, the Arab coalition command said Thursday will allow the airport in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, as well as the ports of Hodeidah and Al-Salif make the special flights and ships of the UN with humanitarian aid. The UN has announced that it has received from Saudi partners confirmation of the opening of the three harbors in the next days.

«The coalition refused today, November 23 to permit the three planes of the UN, including UNICEF flight, which was carrying polio vaccine, as well as the aircraft of the organization «Doctors without borders,» said Ganim.

According to him, currently in the Jordanian capital, Amman, there are more than 220 employees of the UN who are unable to arrive in Sana’a for the provision of humanitarian assistance, and about 310 employees of various humanitarian organizations, including the UN, can not leave Sana’a.

Yemen Agency SABA reported on Wednesday that the first aircraft of the International Committee of the red cross (ICRC) arrived in the Houthis captured the capital of Yemen after the introduction of Saudi Arabia blockade. According to the Agency, except for humanitarian flights landed at the airport Russian plane with a new staff of the Russian Embassy in Sana’a.
