The Minister of internal Affairs of India Rajnath Singh during his visit to Moscow from 26 to 29 November to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Kolokoltsev and the head of the EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov, reported RIA Novosti news Agency in the Indian Embassy in the Russian Federation.

«This will be the first visit of Mr. Rajnath Singh in Russia in the post of Minister of internal Affairs. He will hold talks with Minister of internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Minister of civil defence, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters Vladimir Puchkov. There will also be other meetings», — is spoken in the message of the Embassy.

It is noted that Singh’s visit «will further strengthen cooperation in key areas of security, fight against terrorism, drug trafficking and management of actions on elimination of consequences of natural disasters». During the visit the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs of India will also meet with the Indian Diaspora in Moscow.

«The visit will take place during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India that are special and privileged strategic partners,» added the Indian Embassy.

Earlier in a press-service of the government of India, RIA Novosti said that during the visit of Singh to Moscow it is planned to sign a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

Rajnath Singh was planning to visit Russia with official visit in September last year. But then the visit was postponed indefinitely due to the attack of militants on a military unit in Indian Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 19 servicemen.
