In the election program of the liberal democratic party «100 steps: it’s Time to make a great leap forward!», presented in the eve of the presidential election, the party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who is seen as a possible candidate from the liberal democratic party, promised voters to reduce the number of deputies of the state Duma up to 200 people and to abolish the Federation Council.

Informed by the party leadership and members nominated Zhirinovsky for discussion as the President of the Russian Federation at the election Congress of the party, which is scheduled on 20-e number Dec. Regular elections of the President of Russia will be held in March 2018, the campaign is supposed to start in December 2017.

In addition to these points, the program mentions the following potential solutions: the lifting of the moratorium on the death penalty, confiscation of the vehicle and expulsion of 300 kilometres, for a «brazen antics» on the road and minimum wage at 20 thousand rubles.

As the first laws that Zhirinovsky might take in the event of his election, referred to the law on the protection of the Russian language, as well as the initiative on the issuance of passports of «all Russian».
