The head of the Board, ex-Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin believes that the growth of Russia’s GDP in 2017 will not exceed 1.8%.

«No, my prediction for this year from 1.5% to 1.8%. The above will not work», — said Kudrin on the question of whether he agrees with the assessment of the Ministry of economic development for GDP growth for the current year.

The Rosstat previously estimated the growth of Russia’s GDP for 9 months of 1.6%. These agencies separated from the Ministry of economic development, which constituted 1.8 per cent.

Economic growth in the first quarter, according to Rosstat, amounted to 0.5% in the second quarter accelerated to 2.5%, while overall for the first half amounted to 1.5%. The current base forecast of Ministry of economic development involves the growth of the economy by the end of 2017 is 2.1%.
