The head of the Sudan appreciated his first visit to Russia

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said his first ever visit to Russia, a strong impetus to the development of relations between the two countries in various spheres, including the economy, politics and trade, he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Al-Bashir earlier met in Sochi with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and later with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. As reported, the government of the Russian Federation and the Sudan signed an agreement on the nuclear, education and agriculture.

«My visit has very strong momentum as the first visit to Russia, it was a lot of work memoranda and agreements,» said al-Bashir.

The Sudanese President said his meeting with Putin, Medvedev and defence Minister Sergei Shoigu have been wonderful.

«Comes a breakthrough in the development of relations in various areas: politics, economy, trade, culture and even in the military sector, in this direction are big steps,» said al-Bashir.
