Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on Monday got acquainted with the exhibits of the Moscow Biennale of contemporary art, which is in the Tretyakov gallery on the Crimean shaft.

In the main project presents the work of 52 artists from 25 countries, including the well-known Icelandic singer and artist björk Gudmundsdóttir.

This is the first year the Biennale is held in Moscow for four months instead of one from mid-September through January. The participants include artists from Belgium, the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, USA, Turkey, Japan and Switzerland, including Matthew Barney and Olafur Eliasson, are creating new work specifically for the Moscow Biennale.

Russian artists to participate in the main project took the work of the creative Association «Where dogs run», Alexey Martins, Dashi Namdakov, Anastasia Potemkina, Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, Fetisov Wali.
